Marianne Kapfer lives and works as a filmmaker and author in Berlin. She started filmmaking in Moscow, where she worked on several documentaries and feature films. Back in Germany she made a documentary about the German photographers Bernd and Hilla Becher, which DAD screened as part of its Hidden Treasures project. In this film Bernd and Hilla Becher give us an insight into their life and work: they tell us how they captured a fading industrial world and turned it into art.
