At least 100 people joined DAD on the Sea Front by the North Downs Marker to celebrate the start of the Chinese Year of the Rabbit.
Mulled wine was provided courtesy of the Royal Cinque Port Yacht Club who generously allowed participants and audience to use the bar after the event. Zhan Lu Smith fried some spring rolls, which were much appreciated by those who managed to get one! We hadn't expected such a big turn out.read more
Nigel Green will be showing the photographs made as part of DAD's Sea & Walk project which draws attention to unexpected aspects of the built environment and proposes re-evaluations of how we understand and value the places connected by the North Downs Way. The exhibition will take place at the Canterbury School of Architecture from 10 - 25 February 2011.read more
We were thinking we’d have a quiet summer but we’ve hardly had a break and it’s already October. We start editing Watermark, DAD's documentary film production about Buckland Paper Mill, this month and we've also just started a new project, Boxme.in, researching the use of social media as an audience building tool. This seems very apt at the moment, especially since so many arts organisations have enthusiastically embraced the use of Facebook. read more

Joanna and Clare took part in the London Biennale event at the Aragon Tower near Greenland Pier, where a work by Alma Tischler Wood is permanently installed. The event was in part a farewell party for Alma who is leaving shortly with John Wood for South Korea.read more
