We were greatly honoured to be invited to speak about our activities to the Dover Society (18 March) and to the Turner Contemporary (20 March) at their team meeting. It has been just over 6 years since DAD began life in 2006. In that time we have found ways of showing work in the public realm without owning premises.read more
On 8 March DAD hosted a networking event over brunch at Turner Contemporary as part of NFASP's Grand day out in Margate. The aim of the event was to find out, through a structured conversation, whether there was a wish for a South East studios network and judging by the turnout, there is certainly some demand.read more

On Friday 4 November, DAD was part of an East Kent delegation visiting cultural counterparts in Dunkerque. The aim of the day, organised by the Town of Dunkerque, was to launch a network bringing together the different creative organisations who share a transmaritime and cross-border identity in the Channel Region - Kent, the Northern French Coast and West Flanders. read more
Turner Contemporary opened to the public in Margate on 16 April in a blaze of sunshine. It’s spring and with the opening of Turner Contemporary as the highlight of the South East cultural calendar it seems a good time to think about new beginnings for DAD and new developments in Dover over the past six months as well as events that are coming up in the immediate future.read more
