Bim Malcomson is greatly committed to two things: dance and young people. In this capacity she works as a choreographer, teacher and mentor. In the role of Artist in Education for the Dance Partnership and Access Department, at the Royal Ballet School, she leads creative workshops, choreographs large-scale works, bringing together Royal Ballet and state school students and is a mentor for Youth Dance England’s, Young Creatives.
As a teacher Bim works for the Centre for Advanced Training at Trinity Laban where she teaches ballet and choreography. She has also taught ballet at Lewisham College and for the Centre for Advanced Training at The Place. Bim has her own open youth ballet class at Urdang Academy. Currently she is bringing together young people from different dance styles and backgrounds, where they will choreograph on each other creating work to be performed at The Royal Opera House.
