Cathy Rogers

Cathy Rogers is an artist who uses film and photography making work in the form of site-specific installations, screenings and interventions exploring visual representations of place, time, filmic and photographic materiality.

She has a BA in Design and Public Art from Chelsea College of Art (UAL) an MA in Artists’ Film, Video and Photography from University for the Creative Arts, Maidstone and has recently completed an MPhil at the Royal College of Art in experimental film.

Her commissioned work has included public interventions for British Waterways, North West London Hospital Arts Trust and an Arts Council Award for Art in Public Places (2004 – 2006) with her brother John Rogers.

Recent film installations and screenings include: Contact: Festival of New Experimental Film and Video (London 2016), ‘AssemblyA Survey of Recent Artists’ Film and Video in Britain 2008-2013’ (Tate Britain), Disruption (RCA Research Biennale, London), Here and Now (Horse Hospital), Nightworks (Testbed1), Living Film (No.w.here), Film|Performance|Space (Edinburgh) and Fieldwork II (London).
