Sebastian Edge

Sebastian Edge, born in Kent just outside Maidstone to a carpenter and builder of horse drawn wagons and mother a gardener, in the era of the Hurricane of 87, which plays a key role in Edge’s work, the challenge of community and working together of camaraderie. Edge has travelled with musicians and artists, which lead him to Tottenham London, where he built and runs North London Darkroom and now works with students at The London Met CASS tending the darkrooms. Recently moved back to Kent, Edge’s own work, deals with story and myth using all manner of media, but he is best known for his giant self-built Wet Collodion camera, made of Hurricane timber and his mobile darkroom.
