Sylvain Lainé

Is an early career artist who lives and works in Lille. For approximately nine years, his practice has focused on his obsession with accumulation, not only of material but also of gestures, images and words. Lainé’s work questions the politics of daily consumerism but also calls attention to loss and absence. His interventions reflect his ‘stock-piling’ and are translated through performance, video, drawing, photography, installations and objects.
