As part of London 2012 Open Weekend, DAD is delivering a programme of 3 related events to celebrate the one year to go countdown to the Olympic and Paralimpic Games in 2012: The Table, Bunting Forever and Dysarticulate 2.

We will be installing The Table in the Market Square on 23 July 2011. A film of the making, Tabula - Fortis in Pace, will be shown on the BBC LOCOG Big Screen between 1pm and 2.30pm on Saturday 23 July. The table is an example of a collaboration of artists and artisans in the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic values of equality, respect and excellence.

Bunting Forever will be launched around the Table. Join Julie Bishop  to produce hand-made wooly bunting over the next 12 months to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Dover in July 2012. Bring any old jumpers and unused wool to the Table for the launch on Saturday 23 July from 12 noon to 3pm.

Julie Bishop will run monthly wooly bunting workshops throughout the year . Workshops start on 6 August 2011, from 10am to 4pm in the DAD studio in the Old Sorting Office at Charlton Green.

Listen to Julie Bishop's interview with Barry O'Brien from Dover Community Radio.

We are also inviting people to make a Field of Flags for Jon Adams' Dysarticulate 2 project on 22 and 23 July 2013 from 11am - 4pm, in  The Curve at Dover Discovery Centre, Market Square CT16 1PH. Anyone can come, be the artist for a day - and play. The flag making will be led over the two days by Carole Day in conjunction with Dover Library.

Jon Adams is Artist in Residence at the University of Portsmouth.
