DAD launches Colouring Book
DMAG: WWI CODENAME JOINED UP
We launched our Joined Up Colouring Book as part of Dover Town Council’s Christmas Lights Switch-on programme. The illustrations for colouring in were contributed by all the Joined Up artists and on the day participants were able to colour them in without having to buy the book! The event was also an additional marketing opportunity for our partners from the East Kent Railway Museum and Dover Transport Museum.
We set up shop in The Dover Discovery Centre Wellbeing area alongside Christmas decoration making in the Cafe area with members of the Dover Big Local ART31 group as well as Joined Up artist Aine Belton who was showing participants how to make transport-themed decorations as part of her project for Dover Transport Museum.
We were delighted by a visit from Dover Tales who gave us one of their four performances on the day of the Martinmas story, and we were also honoured with a visit from Dover’s Mayor.
We sold a few copies of the book, beautifully designed by Edda Jones, which is retailing at £5. Please contact us if you would like a copy.
And finally thank you to Mark Hopewell and Christian Venkatasamy for helping us on the day.
