Philippe Bazin lives in Paris and exhibits widely in solo and group exhibitions internationally. He was one of the photographers chosen for the DAD Photography Commissions 07/08, a strand of the Embarkation project. During his residency he obtained access to the Port of Dover and you can see some of his photographs here.  Click here for an image of his work installed in the freestanding signboards in Dover.

Pierre-Yves Brest (1967) lives in Lille. He studied photography at the École national superieure de la photographie d'Arles (France) and history of art at the Université de Paris-X. Since 2006 he has exhibited at the Musée des Beaux-arts of Dunkerque, at the FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais, at the Galerie Le Carré in Lille... In 2007 he published an artists book titled "Le Bataillon de Sourbrodt / The Sourbrodt Batallion" thanks to a grant received from the Conseil Régional Nord-Pas-de-Calais.

Richard was born in Guyana and raised in Northern Canada and in the Alkham valley, near Dover UK. Richard recently remixed for Lady Ga Ga with Marlon of Mattafix and produced the debut album for the Indie Music award winner, Simon Jaymes.

Julie Bishop looks forward  to spending  more time indulging her passion for art and craft - especially knitting and crochet - as she prepares to retire from her long and successful career in dentistry.

Chris Burke attended a Grammar School in the East Midlands. “The only thing I got a prize for was handwriting! Good at Drawing and Painting and reading Literature aloud..No good at exams - which is what the Grammar School was about. I attended Belfast and Nottingham Colleges of Art but dropped out. Teacher Training at Goldsmiths - Main Subjects Literature and Drama. I picked up Drawing and Painting again a few years later, teaching English in Spain. Drawing and Writing and some Acting and - by then - Supply teaching.
