Bev Williams

Bev’s textile work uses stitch to make marks and her sewing machine is an integral part of her life. She is influenced by Art Nouveau and Pop Art. She takes her inspiration from nature and uses unusual materials to create effects. She  likes to use recycled materials to minimialise the impact on the environment. She is currently studying for a BA in textiles with the Open College of the Arts.

Her interest in textile art was reignited after attending a DAD workshop at Dover Museum. I was invited to participate in Clare’s “Stitched Time” collaboration, and have been encouraged by DAD to develop my textile art. My gratitude goes to Clare and Joanna.
